Project Phases

Phase 1: 

Summer 

     At the end of the school year, The Backpack Squad is vamping up efforts to gather supplies to start filing bags in August, which is only 2 short months away. 

Phase 2

 

Gathering 

     In July, we dive head first into gathering, staging and purchasing backpacks and school supplies while the Back to School sales are on. 

This phase lasts from July - August 15th. 

      We gather and purchase supplies year round, so we are often busy doing this during the school year as well.

Phase 3

Registrations​

    New this year! Applications for receiving a backpack stuffed with school supplies. This is a new requirement, so we can guarantee enough supplies are received.

Phase 4

Sorting 

     In the first couple weeks of August, we begin sorting all bags and supplies that were donated.

Phase 5

Packing 

     The packing begins! All the backpacks are ready for distribution, by the last week of August!! 

This is such an exciting time.

Happening NOW!**

Phase 6

Distubution 

     All backpacks are handed out to local children. There are 5 meeting spots available for those who registered.
